Meet Miss B — Raleigh Children’s Photographer
One of my favorite “outside the box” jobs so far is cattle photographer. Some of my friends are serious about raising top of the line Angus cattle, and I got to spend a morning on their farm with my camera recently. For me, it’s a chance to have a tiny bit of farm life while doing something that I’m better at than I am at actual farming. (Though I presently have four thriving hydrangeas and a very tiny Meyer Lemon tree, thank you very much.)
Better yet, it’s a job that I can bring D to, so he gets to see dogs, tractors, cows, etc. up close and personal, which is important to me. Right now the dog is still his favorite, but I bet that the tractors will take over that spot soon.
Here is a shot from my morning photographing what is perhaps the cleanest cow I’ve ever personally seen, with lots of help from The Cattle Whisperer.
Thanks very much to Wood Angus for giving me a chance to take Bessie’s portraits.
